Evans Trio, continued by Keith Jarret and, more recently, by Brad Mehldau, is unavoidable and keeps the pathway open to new approaches.
KOLME adds a new perspective on jazz piano trio, swayed by a broad range of musical fields, due to the diversified background of it’s three musicians: Ruben Alves, Miguel Amado and Carlos Miguel. KOLME nourishes it’s repertoire interacting in such a way to build up distinct standpoints in jazz piano trio. The debut album, March 2012, is almost entirely composed by original songs.
